I continue to be bullish about India and its #future. We are like an #elephant - huge, calm, and a powerhouse of #potential; but also slow and perhaps not as #nimble as we would like to be. Good news is that the elephant is beginning to dance. India is #transforming as we talk.
What is propelling us forward?
- Large and #young labour force (#demographic dividend) over the next few decades
- Rapid improvement in #connectivity - physical, virtual, financial, and linguistic - leading to unprecedented economic #inclusion of the masses
- The strength and integrity of many of our key #institutions, e.g., press, higher judiciary, apolitical military, election commission
- Ever expanding #startup #ecosystem supported by our unique digital infrastructure - #IndiaStack, and growing risk appetite among the young
- A longstanding culture of #grassroot #innovation (think #Padman)
Of course, we have our barriers to overcome -extremely poor #health and #educational outcomes, among others.
Our task is well cut out!
