Some are born to sell, some want to build.
Some churn ideas, some excel at execution.
Some love numbers, some tell great stories.
Some feed on ambiguity, some seek clarity.
Some like directions, some prefer autonomy.

None of this is an either-or case. Each of us leans towards one or the other end of the spectrum, on these and several other such traits.
Like a good gardener knows where a particular plant would grow well, a good leader knows where someone is likely to excel.
They often create and nudge you to the place where you would thrive and shine; and then they smile from a distance when you start whipping magic - for yourself, for them, and for the organisation.
It takes a lot of thinking and work - behind your back - to make this happen.
If you have found such a leader, think twice before you get lured by another 30% somewhere else.
