Two ways to deal with envy

Envy. We all have it.

There are two common ways to deal with it:

1. Uplift yourself: to match the one you envy. It feeds on admiration and action. Breeds positivity.

2. Pull the other down: to eliminate the source of envy. It feeds on contempt and ill-will. Breeds negativity.

In either case, envy impacts you more than the other person.

Who do I envy?

My answer: the person who is comfortable in their own skin.

It may sound ironical but there is no state of being better than accepting and loving yourself for who you are.

And no, this acceptance of self does not limit your growth - material or spiritual.

In fact this is the very foundation for growth and evolution.

Nothing great was ever built by copying others.
