After my morning jog today in the neighborhood park, I got chatting with an elderly whose pace and consistency at running I have admired for a long time.
Noticed that he wasn't wearing a smart watch or tracker. Very unusual for any serious runner these days.
I asked why.
He smiled and said: "I run to nourish my body and mind, not to manage my health. When I don't need to manage, why measure?"

Reminder to self: any type of nourishment or nurturing is a long term game. You can't measure the impact right after the action. Measurable results show only in the long run. All you can do in the interim is to enjoy the process, be patient, listen to the feedback, and keep making course corrections as needed.
