Life & Perspective

Long days, short years

Towards the end of the day yesterday, I was exhausted and mentally cribbing to myself about how long the day had been.

Just then, google photos flashed some memories from Dec 2013.

It felt as if these memories were from yesterday.

A sombre realisation dawned on me about the fleeting nature of time and life:

1. Our days may seem long but the years are short.

2. When we look back, we don't recall days, weeks, or even years. We remember life through seemingly the smallest units of time - moments.

***
Moments are magical. They are timeless. They stay etched in our memories forever. They are the frames of the movie called life.

Soon we will be bidding farewell to 2023 and welcoming 2024.

Years will come and go.

Moments will stay.

Let's focus on making memorable moments.
