Three critical intellectual skills to thrive in the AI era:
1. Hold an original Point of View (PoV) on things that matter
2. Being able to defend the PoV when challenged
3. Ability to change the PoV when the facts/context change.
These are all easier said than done.
Many don't bother to develop the muscle for #1.
Order takers.
Many give up too easily when the winds are unfavorable.
Yes-boss mentality.
Many continue to cling on to their PoV even when the facts have shifted clearly to the other side. At this point, PoV becomes dogma.
Dogmatic people are dangerous.
