It is okay to be the average guy

He did not fail IIT/IIM entrance. Never got fired from his job. Did not lose all his savings in a start up or stock market.

He was doing great in life by conventional standards and was happy about it, till...

He was exposed to the hustle culture through social media. He heard influencers glorifying massive failures and setbacks in life. He heard those unbelievable turn around stories.

Now, at times, he feels miserable. Because he has not failed massively at anything. Because he is a thoughtful guy who has a fair sense of risk and reward. He places small bets in life and makes average progress.

I want you to know that it is perfectly OK to be this AVERAGE guy. Averages don't make headlines but average progress at scale, over a long time horizon is massive progress.
