It’s not a journey, nor a destination. Definitely not a ladder.
Fulfilling careers are a quest - as much about the work you do and the impact you create, as about the courage to venture onto new terrains with conviction and enjoying the challenges, trade-offs, self-discovery, and personal growth that you experience.
Looking back, my stint at #Mckinsey straight out of campus was all about business #strategy. The itch to get my hands dirty and work on #execution took me to #Deloitte.
But as a consultant moving from one client to the other every few months, how do you get to see the results of the pills that you are prescribing?
That opportunity came with #Capgemini. Conceiving, designing and implementing large scale business #transformation programs as an insider - and being around to see the outcomes - has been a completely different ball game than doing it as a consultant. I have loved every bit of it. On the sides, got to nurture and grow our future leaders through the prestigious #ELITE general management program that has now become a force of its own within the group.
In retrospect, the highlight of all my work at Capgemini can be summed up in one word: People. It’s all about finding ways to enable people to be their best and do their best.
So, earlier this year when I was offered a role that allows me to influence and enhance ‘People Experience’ for Capgemini’s 300K+ amazingly talented professionals spread across 50+ countries, I enthusiastically grabbed it with both my hands. Grateful to Pallavi Tyagi for this opportunity.
This role comes at a time when the ‘world of work’ is undergoing unprecedented changes. The very nature of work, how people relate to it, and what they expect from it is being rapidly re-shaped by the powerful forces of technology, demographics, and geopolitics.
I am excited to contribute my bit in shaping this transition and enabling world-class experience to our people at Capgemini.
If you work in a similar space, would love to connect.

A quest is an extremely personal endeavour but it is fuelled by your cheer leaders. I can’t be grateful enough to have been a part of organizations and to have worked with leaders and team members who have supported me whole-heartedly. You know who you are.
As the year winds up, gratitude is all that I am soaking in.
